Dutch Toine Hezemans with his private car, a 73 BMW CSL, for his lift in Eindhoven. He had two yellow ones. The second was sold to Bert Story a BMW dealer.

Racing driver Toine Hezemans in his private CSL at Zolder circuit in Belgium 1972. This picture comes from a Dutch car magazine Autorevue that conducted the interview during several laps and a hair raising ride back to Hezemans's home in Eindhoven via the motorway. As well as Hezemans, the journalist was thrilled by the driving qualities of this new BMW. Hezemans recalls a journey to Austria and back with co racing driver Rolf Stommelen and their wives. It was totally comfortable unlike any other sports car he had ever driven!

Title: 44 44 VP

Outside paint:

Modification: the car had a 300 hp group 2 motor and a 5 sports gearbox

History:

Imported in the 1990 in the NL, when Mike Blom was/is the owner.

Mike Blom has a race driver license too and apparently got rid of the sponsorships decalls of Toine's car. This CSL was fast and was a 'lone' survivor with street legal licence plates in our BMW Coupe Club. A well respected Member who teached us the track tricks.

Mike Blom was/is the owner. There is a story about the car. Long time ago we had a BMW Coupe Club Nederland, and we organized track days in Race Circuit Zandvoort, Holland. There were more BMW race cars in the Club, so you were allowed to ride with these Licensed Pilots. There were sessions you could use your own BMW to run on the track. BMW Nederland supplied 10 brand new 3 series to have drivers training and 180/360 handbrake skills. The Club still exists and BMW Old Timers are mostly restored in their showroom status.

Note: Theo van der Laan on FB mentions that his uncle bought a 30 CSL from Fitzpatrick
