History: in 2021, the shell is currently with the paint & panel guy and engine is with my mechanic. The car was registered new in Scotland in either 72 or 73. Lore suggests it was used to run drugs and subsequently purchased from a police auction, but that could well be just hearsay. It was then imported to New Zealand sometime during the late 1970s but online records don't go back that far (it's officially recorded as 1981). It has been since. I'll touch base with the guy I bought it from again as he has a complete line of unbroken owners. My mate (who put me on to this car) used to be driven to school in it as his Dad owned it at the time and did a bit of racing in it at Christchurch. The engine has been replaced at some stage during its lifetime and is no longer matching numbers. I'll keep in touch.
