• 1997: Bryce Wells bought it in Southern California from Peter Sliskovich (coupe King) in as a basket case with all parts present but disassembled. Subsequently some body work (picture) got completed and the whole project was sold to Bryce around 1998.
• Bryce had Carl Nelson assemble it and get the car running. Bryce then exported the CSL to NZ where he discovered rust in the inner rocker panels and upper front fender areas that had not been attended to and completely disassembled the car for another complete paint and body job. The shop that had done the work in 1997 covered up a bunch of bad metal.
• mostly finished by 2013.
