History : 2024 per auctioner:  this 3.0 CSL is a lightweight coupe without the city package of the second series. From 1986 to 1988, the CSL was registered to its last owner in Waldhut-Tiengen before it was decommissioned and put away. A few years ago, the current owner, an expert on these vehicles, found the aging CSL and, based on its color, was immediately aware of what a rare piece he was looking at. The condition did not deter him; he bought it and immediately handed it over to one of the best addresses for these vehicles for restoration, which he supported with his own detailed knowledge. The result after years of work was simply breathtaking, especially but not only because of its rare, outshining color. The quality of the work is just as impressive down to the smallest detail and the CSL has amazed everyone so far. The CSL is now an icon of Bavarian automobile construction and this one proves that colors often make the difference, and rightly so.
