BMW 3.0 CSL

At this stage of knowledge, it is likely that this car car could be 2275457

Photos below: circa 1980 around Cookham, England
The house is a simple house and cannot be TIM Hignett 's place.

This is what the photographer, Alan M (Nalaeroom on pistonhead.com) wrote about the photos "as I recall a rather good looking woman got out and I asked if I could take some pictures (of the car hee hee !!) She said OK but they were not to appear in any mags or the like as this was the only one in the country (I think her husband worked at BMW)".

Title: BMW 80 (transferred to this car)

Delivery: one of the 5 or 6 3.2 CSL LHD originally delivered to the UK:
  • WGO 375R (1/1/74) Polaris (got this reg plate in 1977)
  • VMD 880M (1/1/74) Chamonix (got this reg plate in Feb 1974)
  • UPL 87M (1/1/74) Chamonix (got this reg plate in Feb 1974)
  • 777 DSM(19/11/75) DVLA records it as first registered October 1975
  • LFH 111P (21/11/75) Polaris (got this reg plate in Nov 1975)
Only the last two ones has (still?) the original registration plate. Therefore, one can guess that the pictures from the Polaris Bat (BMW 80) might show the earlier registration plates for the WGO 375R car.
