Title:
Paint: Chamonix (085) Mileage: 2018: 39072km Matching numbers: 2018: yes Owners Description: "The BMW 3.0 CSL
‘Batmobile’, VIN 2275501 is one of the 167 ever
built by Motorsport. It was produced at July 20th,
1973, with its original color white Chamoix 085. One
month later, at August 20th, the car was exported to
the BMW dealer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary
Islands), Walter Sauermann. Nevertheless, the car
was not entitled until June 19th, 1975, by Emma
Maria Sidler Balmer, based in Playa del Ingles, in
San Bartoloma de Tirajana, Las Palmas, receiving the
license plate number GC-2554-F."
"Only three units from this 3.0 CSL ‘Batmobile’ were entitled in Spain at that time. The other two were the chassis number 2275488 and 2275490. All three are originally white Chamoix 085. Our ‘Batmobile’ was driving thru Gran Canaria until 1985, ten years after its entitlement. Then the car was boarded by its owner, a German based in Canary Islands, for Hamburg (Germany), where it was drived likely in the mid of 1986 (we keep some gasoline tickets from this date)." "In September 2007 I went in touch with the person who bought it, since I was investigating about the ‘Batmobiles’ in order to write an article, published in the issue #34 from the Spanish classic cars’ magazine ‘Coches Clasicos’; and, at December 10th, we reached an agreement to buy it. Once the car in Spain, it received a deep service in Barcelona, by an expert in racing cars mechanic, specially the engine but also the most important mechanical aspects." "Its original condition is noticeable. It keeps
its Scheel seats in a black/red combination. Also
its original, an specific for this model, three arm
steering wheel. And the most important thing: its
original engine with almost 40.000 kms. and matching
number 2275501. It has its aerodynamics spoiler and
wings as well, specific for the ‘Batmobile’ model,
the front airdam, the roof hoop over the rear window
and the prominent three pieces rear wing over the
trunk’s bonnet." "The body needs some work, but it’s in a more than acceptable condition. The aluminium rims were recently restored. The car has the ‘City package’, and that means iron rear bumper, but a black fibreglass rear bumper is available as well. Motorsport did a specific development to create a race client car adapted to the European Touring Championship’s Group 2. Therefore increased the cylinder volumen until 3.153 cc., and the power to 206 CV. But the biggest difference is by the torque, reaching 286 Nm at 4.200 rpm. At the same time they designed the aerodynamic parts which gives the name to the model. From this ‘Batmobile’ 167 were ever built, as said, but divided in two different series. 110 from the first one, and 57 from the second, that includes a third center support in the rear wing, in order to spread the aerodynamic charge generated. 2275501 belongs to the first series and it is certified by BMW. The car is based in Madrid, and it’s very advisable to visit it before bidding. Following the European law, this is a private sale and has no warranty." 2275501 ist einer der durch Motorsport jemals
gebauten 167. Es wurde am 20. Juli 1973, mit seinem
ursprünglichen weißen Farben Chamoix 085 erzeugt.
Einen Monat später, am 20. August, wurde das Auto zu
dem BMW Händler in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (an
die Kanarischen Inseln), Walter Sauermann
exportiert. Dennoch wurde das Auto nicht bis zum 19. Juni
1975 von Emma Maria Sidler Balmer angemeldet, mit
Wohnsitz in Playa del Ingles, in San Bartolome de
Tirajana, Las Palmas, und die Kennzeichenn GC-2554-F
erhaltend Nur drei Stücke von diesen 3.0 CSL 'Batmobile'
wurden in Spanien in dieser Zeit angemeldet. Die
anderen zwei waren die Fahrgestelltnummern
2275488
und
2275490. Alle drei sind ursprünglich weißer
Chamoix 085.
2275501 pertenece a
Transaction:
