JEEP
In the years after World War II, the Willys Motor Company
started to focus their attention on building vehicles for
the public based on the iconic vehicles they built for the
war. And America was ready to employ these Jeep based
vehicles in every occupation and industry that utilized
these "work horses". Even though the venerable CJ models
came with four-wheel Drive, there was an ever increasing
market for regular rear wheel versions. The DJ "Dispatcher"
models were made for this purpose. And to reach even a
larger market, the Gala-Surrey was produced beginning in
1959. These colorful and economical vehicles were built for
transportation at country clubs and resorts worldwide.
