History:

2018 refurbishment: The car was was disassembled and repainted. The Alpina graphics were added after the respray, and additional exterior details include a front air dam, a rear spoiler, bright trim, vent windows, Euro-spec bumpers, polished side mirrors, and twin center exhaust outlets. The drip rails, rear spoiler, and rubber seals were replaced during the refurbishment.

2016 update:

195 bhp, 1,998 cc OHC inline four-cylinder engine with fuel injection, five-speed manual G transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, McPherson struts, anti-roll bar, and telescopic dampers; independent rear suspension with coil springs, semi-trailing arms, anti-roll bar, and telescopic dampers; and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. Wheelbase: 2,499 mm

The A4S could be had for roughly twice the price of a standard 2002. However, many would argue that the premium was well worth it for the added performance, as power was increased to 195 horsepower. Originally finished in Garnet Red metallic with a fabric interior, chassis number 02735630 was born as a 2002 Tii and immediately built to Alpina A4S specifications.
