Sooner than 1998 to 1998: stored
Between 1992 and sooner than 1998: 1825 miles since 92!) the car was stored in a garage and left there till 1998 at which time funds allowed for a full documented body restoration. Now finished in Sparkling Graphite the car looks stunning.

Condition:

In 2014: the paintwork has a deep sparkle and is complimented by bright chrome work and fresh rubber trim and seals. As you'd expect from a 2 year comprehensive restoration costing in excess of 22K back in 98-00 and another recent bare metal repaint two years ago this car feels and looks new.

Equipment:

RHD City Pack, Lightweight front spoiler, Roof spoiler, Electric windows, PAS, Scheel sports seats, Sports steering wheel, Alloy wheels, Aluminum bonnet, boot lid and door skins.

Interior: fully re-trimmed in soft sumptuous black leather this coupe retains its scheel seats. The wood trim has all been refurbished and while the interior has not been keep in accordance with original BMW specification it feels and smells new with almost a modern edge. All the electrics, bulbs and heaters work as they should.

Engine and transmission: the 3003cc straight six engine cranks into life smoothly and idles well having been fully rebuilt and refurbished recently by Jaymic. The cost of this and additional work at the end of 2010 is documented with invoices totaling over 13K. The brake servos are fresh and retain the brand new look from inside the engine bay as do the brake calipers and all the suspension components. The 4 speed gearbox is smooth and precise after its recent rebuild in 2010 and changes gear with no problems.

History file: having only had 2 previous keepers 2285320 retains its original blue service folder with MOT certificates in the late 80s and early 90s then again more recent MOTs. It is pleasing to see that it also retains its original service book that is stamped with BMW dealer stamps from new up to 65K miles.

Restoration:

in 2007/8, the car was taken back to bare metal and repainted, the engine was removed, suspension components and sub frames blasted and rebuilt.
1998: Records show is a vintage picture of the car taken when bought by the current owner in 1992 sporting its original color then a full album containing a photographic record of the restoration from start to finish when the car came out of storage in 1998, this is also backed up with accounts and parts bills from Munich Legends totaling in excess of 22K

Maintenance: The genuine 14inch Alpinas are shod in nearly new rubber and the discs, pads and calipers are brand new. Recent mechanical work is documented with Jaymic invoices in 2010 at over 13K to leave the car in the state it is in now, pretty much brand new!
