Restoration: in the 1990's

CSL equipment: aluminium door skins and hinges, hood, rear lid. Original Left mirror delete. Manual front windows. All round original thin gauge steel incl roof fenders etc. scheel bucket seats, alpina 14in wheels (in storage). Side stripes, Petri steering wheel is missing and will be sourced in the future.

• The car currently has a blue side stripe on polaris metallic. The current owner says he always remembers the car like this. Is it possible the car had a blue sticker from original?
• Rims.

History:

As described in 2017, this car is a high mileage used example as its last owner has used it as a commuter for over 20 years. It still is a very original example was restored in the 90s but now has visible signs of small rust and needs changing of one of the aluminum doors. The car is in not bad condition especially for its mileage and very original.

One of the 50 cars collected by the UK dealers and driven from Germany to Britain before the model was launched. As seen on a few other early rhd CSLs, this car features original manual front windows. It has been mentioned that the chrome grilles, wipers and German dashboard are parts retained from lhd CSLs as BMW had shortages of RHD parts when building this car.

Since the vehicle has been owned by a non enthusiast for 25 years nothing was changed and survives in an original state but is in need of restoration, as verified by restorers most of the car hasnt been restored including the front wings so some rust is expected. The car was used regularly by previous owner and has been very reliable.
