Restoration:

2019: the car is restored

 

In 2016 the car was sent to Slovakia for a restoration that covered the body, interior, powertrain, and more.

After the 2011 acquisition,  the coupe was dismantled and restoration started. There are very many new parts (side panels, rear panels, fenders, all seals, stainless steel exhaust system, shock absorbers, Querlänker, all rubber parts, chrome wheel arches, as well as many accessories, etc.) present (amounting to over 20,000 CHF). All engine mounts, rocker arm shafts, etc. are new, cylinder head was pressed and is in order. Engine block was geborht and gehohnt with oversize piston (newly made GP clamp). Excellent, stainless steel base. 

Der Mechaniker hat das Sportcoupé daraufhin komplett zerlegt und mit der Restauration begonnen. Es sind sehr viele Neuteile (Seitenwände, Heckbleche, Kotflügel, sämtliche Dichtungen, Chromstahlauspuffanlage, Stossdämpfer, Querlänker, sämtliche Gummiteile, Chromradläufe, sowie viele Anbauteile, etc.) vorhanden (im Wert von über 20.000 CHF). Sämtliche Motorlager, Kipphebelwellen, etc. sind neu dabei, Zylinderkopf wurde abgepresst und ist in Ordnung. Motorblock wurde geborht und gehohnt mit Übermasskolben (GP Kloben neu angefertigt). Hervorragende, rostfreie Basis. .

 

Restoration project

Transaction:

• August 2020: not sold on Bring a Trailer at $180,000. Comments are that the reserve price is too high for the quality of the car

• 2015: for sale at 95 000 SFR. Located in switzerland. Currently the CSL is completely disassembled and is sold in the "current status", because our mechanic due to time constraints can not continue the restoration. For more information, 0041 79 733 17 28
