Title:

Outside color: Golf (070)

Original equipment: car had all the light weight panels, hood, trunk, plastic windows, crappy carpet, no sound proofing or undercoating. It’s really a spartan affair. Has the original twin carb Zenith set up and four speed Getrag.

History:

2019: the car was imported to Texas by an attorney who had an AC system installed. Later it was sold to the next owner in Florida who eventually moved to New York and had it repainted (not very well) by the shop where I found it. The shop didn’t really know what they had and I paid 20k.

Modifications: The Alpina B2S engine is out of a ‘77 633 coupe. It originally came equipped with triple Solexes. The car is being converted over to Weber 45 DCOE9s. Domed pistons, hemi-head, lightened and polished rods, 10.5:1 compression. Transmission is a dog-legged ZF S5 18/3 five speed racing box. The final drive is a 2.93 LSD with auxiliary cooler. When the build is complete, it will be an Alpina B2S as Bovenseipen intended.

Transaction : in 2004. For less than $20K  in a Southampton NY body shop
